The Greenwood Historic District, also known as the Greenwood Park Plats Historic District, is a nationally recognized area located in Des Moines. This district encompasses approximately 82 acres and is roughly bounded by 39th to 42nd Streets, from Grand Avenue to Center and Pleasant Streets.

The area was originally known as Brown's Park, serving as the location for the Iowa State Fair from 1879 to 1885. After the fair relocated, the Greenwood Park Association acquired the land in 1892, and residential development commenced around 1910, continuing into the 1920s.
